The Department of Energy (DOE) of the United States shall be convening a meeting with the top experts from across the government, academia as well as industry for discussing the future efforts in Artificial Intelligence. The event, InnovationXLab Summit on Artificial Intelligence, shall be taking place in 2nd and 3rd October, 2019 in downtown Chicago at the historic Drake Hotel. The summit shall also be focusing on effective ways in which Artificial Intelligence can be harnessed for making life better for all the Americans. Sessions will try to highlight the role of DOE in ensuring that the U.S. remains the leader of the world in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
Rick Perry, the United States Secretary of Energy said that DOE-fueled artificial intelligence very important for keeping the businesses of United States in competition and also for impacting the lives of people in a positive way. He added that the unmatched power of their supercomputers allowed them to connect the expertise of their labs as well as the excellence of their facilities with the innovation leaders of the private sector of the nation in this incredibly rapid paced industry.
The planned presentations also have insight into the DOE-focused efforts of artificial intelligence which are already being applied on a vast scale for strengthening the national security and cybersecurity, and also for improving the grid resiliency along with emergency responses. As four out of the ten most powerful and fastest supercomputers in the world are located in the DOE lab system of the United States, it uniquely puts U.S. in the position for pushing the limits of artificial intelligence.
