Within the tech industry, the current standard for mobile networks is fourth generation or more commonly known as the 4G. However, with the fast advancing technology advancements, 4G will be soon replaced by the fifth generation or the 5G wireless technology.
5G will also offer high speed of data transfer and will allow many to connect to devices without having to wait for delayed response while sending or receiving information. The issues based on the development of 5G will attend to questions like whether the government should consider building a nationalized 5G network or even discusses the possible health impact owing to the additional radio-frequency radiation.
Since the radio frequencies necessary for short range of 5G cannot pass through walls, the structure for higher speed and capacity can be attained only in dense urban areas by increasing the number of cell antennas manifold.
As a result, in order to recover the costs of new equipment and its installation, the telecom providers are readily promoting 5G to several urban customers in form of higher-speed wireless and wireless home broadband.
In case of rural customers, the radio frequencies will be able to travel longer distances. The advent of 5G will also be able to tackle the commonly known “last-mile problem”, which provides high speed connectivity to remote location where the broadband services are not available.
