In the latest announcement, Microsoft’s Azure has created a new service which will allow users virtual machines for the working of a single-tenant physical server. Based on the new feature, users will also be able to use company’s cloud storage in order to run a private server. The latest feature is called Azure Dedicated Host.
Owning to reports, the latest technological improvement will prove to be beneficial for businesses which intend to store data on servers, with the intention of not wanting to share it with other servers. Such a practice will curb incidence of data leakage.
Azure also offers isolated virtual machines which are similar to the new development. However, experts believe, Dedicated Host performs better and efficiently, thus allowing more storage.
Azure’s Dedicated Host will also allow support for computers that run SQL Server, Linux and Windows. On the per host basis, the price for the dedicated host are bound to differ. Dedicated Host will tackle issues of data security, security, monitoring and physical security, according to Microsoft.
Users of the new technology will also be able to make their own groups of servers, such as breaking down smaller private servers or a combination of multiple servers in order to create a singular big host.
Apart from Microsoft, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services have also offered similar technology features.
