News allege, MTS has developed the first 5G test for a preproduction of a Samsung 5G smartphone in Russia. In addition, it will also launch the first operable mid-band 5G pilot zones in St. Petersburg and Moscow.
Furthermore, MTS has launched Russia’s first ever urban 5G coverage in Kronstadt, St Petersburg’s island. The project will also see the advancement of a new 5G cell in Moscow near a smart city pavilion within VDNKh, the city’s most popular parks.
The coverage will include a 4.9GHz mid-band and 28GHz millimeter-wave frequencies, along with Huawei being the technology partner.
